Seaside Restaurant at Roberts Grove Beach Resort, in Depth

Permanently closed.

Seaside Restaurant was the beachfront restaurant at Robert's Grove Beach Resort on the Placencia Peninsula in the Stann Creek District, and it served three meals a day, moving from breakfast through dinner with a menu that ran from international plates to local Belizean and Caribbean cooking. It was one of two kitchens on the property: guests could also cross to Habaneros, the resort's Mexican-influenced restaurant. The draw was the setting as much as the food, a sit-down room right on the sand where you ate with the water in front of you.

That chapter has ended. As of January 12, 2026, The Belize Collection took over management of the property and rebranded it from Robert's Grove Beach Resort to Blue Reef Beach Resort and Marina. Under the new ownership the beachfront room now runs as Bamboo Beach Bistro and the marina restaurant as Blue Lagoon; the Seaside and Habaneros names are no longer in use at the resort.

If you are on the peninsula and looking for a place to eat now, the directory can point you elsewhere, from a table on the sand at a beachfront bar to the kitchens up the road in Maya Beach.
